Monitoring and compliance


Ethics approval is not the end of the HREC's involvement. Approved projects remain subject to monitoring proportionate to their risk for as long as they run, and the HREC retains the power to impose conditions, suspend, or withdraw approval where that monitoring reveals a problem (NS Chapter 5.4).
